Yellowknife is the diamond capital of Canada, and Capital City of the Northwest Territories. Yellowknife is situated on the northern shores of Great Slave Lake, and is one of the largest cities in the North with a population close to 20,000. Yellowknife is the hub for Government and Government related activity in the Northwest Territories, and is also home to a number of construction, mining, and exploration companies.
